Frozen Fruit Slush Recipe with Ice Cream
Made with only 4 ingredients – this Frozen Fruit Slush with Ice Cream goes together in minutes and has low sugar! The perfect treat to cool down in the heat!
Over the years we have made our Homemade Slushies with Ice Cream hundreds of times, they are a favorite with my boys. However, we decided this time, instead of using a Kool-Aid packet that has a lot of sugar, we would adapt the recipe and make it more healthy by using fruit and by adding Truvia instead of sugar.
The result? The boys loved it! While they still like the other slushy recipe, they really liked this new recipe with fruit just as well. And let’s face it, it’s much better for them…and me.
Four ingredients are all you need. We used frozen raspberries that were from a recently trip to Meijer when they had fruit on sale. I bought several boxes, laid them on a cookie sheet to freeze, then put them into bags. You will also need Ice and Ice Cream, we used vanilla, but you could certainly use any flavor you like or have on hand. And to sweeten it, we used Truvia Spoonable Natural Sweetener.
I’ve shared my love for Truvia with you many times. If you are ready to start your Fall baking, you might like the Homemade Caramel Sauce, Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting or the Baked Apples.
