I’m actually one of those strange people that doesn’t like Pumpkin Pie, but I love all the other baked goods. Pumpkin Cake, Pumpkin Cupcakes and even Pumpkin Mousse.

This Pumpkin Bread is considered a quick bread, although it doesn’t actually bake quickly. What exactly is a quick bread? What is the difference between Quick Bread and Regular Bread?

  • Quick Bread – is well – quick. It has no yeast, which means it does not require any time to rise. They are typically made with baking powder and baking soda for the chemical leaveners instead of yeast. And most of the time, all-purpose flour is used.
  • Regular Bread or Yeast Bread – is made with yeast and requires time to rise. And they typically use bread flour.

This bread not only has walnuts in the streusel topping, it also has them in the bread. If you love pumpkin like I do, you may also like these recipes.
