Chocolate Lollipops can be made for a variety of occasions, this time we are making them for Christmas.
You can also use a chocolate mold, they come in many different shapes and sizes. This time we kept it really simple and used a round cup to trace a circle onto parchment paper for a pattern.
In about 15 or 20 minutes, you can have a whole set of these Chocolate Lollipops made, then let them set until they are hard and you are ready to tie a ribbon on them for gift giving.
Chocolate Lollipops
Ingredients and Supplies
- Chocolate – I have found Almond Bark to be the easiest to use.
- Sprinkles
- Colored Candy Melts – this is optional, but fun to decorate the lollipops with
- Lollipop Sticks
- Plastic Squeeze Bottles
- Circle Pattern – something round (the size you want the lollipops) to trace
- Marker to trace with
- Parchment Paper
How to Make Chocolate Lollipops
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Then trace a circle onto the back side of the paper. You can also buy circle candy lollipops molds if you want.
- Continue tracing circles, be sure to leave room for the stick
- Melt chocolate in microwave safe bowl. Start with 1 minute, then stir. Heat for 30 second intervals, stirring after each heating. Stop when there are a few bits of chocolate left, then stir until completely melted.
- Add chocolate to squeeze bottle. And trace around the circle with the chocolate then fill in the center.
- Add the stick and roll it to coat. Then add more chocolate on top of the stick, making the lollipop thicker
- For the white chocolate lollipops – melt a small amount of colored candy melts in a microwave safe bowl. Then add a drop of melted chocolate using a toothpick.
- Use a toothpick to swirl the candy melts.
