Eggs are such a mainstay in food that it’s easy to fit them into any meal. Obviously the first meal that comes to mind is breakfast. You can do many things with hard boiled eggs for breakfast. You can slice them to put on a breakfast sandwich, or you can chop them up to place in a breakfast taco.

You could even place slices of them on a salad for a nice, healthy meal! Another good option for feeding a family in the morning is a breakfast casserole, which these Instant Pot hard boiled eggs fit perfectly into. Hard boiled eggs also slice up nicely and look great on a breakfast charcuterie board.

But what if you’re more lunch minded when it comes to hard boiled eggs? Well there’s always the classic egg salad sandwich. It’s super easy to make already, and by using the Instant Pot you cut the time to do so down. With these Instant Pot hard boiled eggs, you can have a lunch ready to go in ten minutes!

If you want a neat twist on this classic, try adding in some avocados. It’s a healthy alternative that will add a new flavor to the old classic. If you have leftover ham from Easter lying around, you can make yourself a nice helping of Cobb salad. This is one of my favorite uses for Easter leftovers.

Perfect Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs Tips

How long should I cook my eggs in the Instant Pot?

Depending on how you like your eggs cooked, will change how long you cook them in the Instant Pot. And cooking times may vary depending on your Instant Pot.

  • Medium Hard Boiled Eggs – Cook for 3 minutes
  • Hard Boiled Eggs – Cook 4-5 minutes
  • Well Done Hard Boiled Eggs – Cook 6-7 minutes

How do you make the eggs easier to peel?

Fresh eggs cook better and also peel easier.

Why do you dip the eggs in cold water?

Dipping the eggs in cold water halts the cooking process. This is to make sure that the heat that’s left inside doesn’t overcook the egg.

How to Dye Easter Eggs

We can’t ignore dinner now, can we? Not when it provides so many opportunities to put our Instant Pot to use! One of the best additions to the dinner table is the deviled eggs. These guys can be made pretty easily with the use of our Instant Pot hard boiled eggs.

With the most time consuming part out of the way, you can make deviled eggs quickly. Set them up as a side dish or even an appetizer and watch your family go to town! These deviled eggs barely survive until the end of dinner time in my house. They’re bound to be a favorite at yours as well.

Decorating Easter Eggs

Now hold on a second. I know I’ve got you all chomping at the bit, or in this case egg, but before you go eating them all, why not decorate them for Easter? The holiday is right around the corner, and dyeing eggs is the perfect way to celebrate at home!

It’s a fun activity that my family practices each and every year, and we never get tired of it. Lately I’ve found out how to make it even better though. By decorating with shaving cream, you can make Easter eggs that are truly worth hunting!

Hard boiled eggs are already simple to make, but with the help of the Instant Pot, the time and effort needed to do so drops to next to nothing. It’s also a great meal to prepare when you’re not prepared. We all have eggs stocked in our fridge virtually all the time, and so if you find yourself suddenly out of ideas for meals you can simply turn to this recipe for an answer that isn’t so hard!
