This Easy Fudge Recipe is so easy, it almost doesn’t need a recipe. With only 2 ingredients plus sprinkles if you like, you can have fudge ready to slip into the refrigerator in minutes.

Over the years, I’ve made Homemade Fudge and this fudge recipe is by far the easiest and quickest to make. It’s also really versatile, you can swap out the flavor of chocolate chips or frosting for a totally different taste. 

During the Fall, this Caramel Apple Fudge is a hit. And you guessed it – only 2 ingredients.

Ingredients

  • White Chocolate Chips
  • Vanilla Frosting – canned, you can easily substitute any flavor frosting that you like
  • Sprinkles, optional but always fun

Kitchen Essentials Needed

  • Large Bowl
  • Rubber Spatula
  • Microwave Safe Bowl
  • Measuring Cup
  • Square dish
  • Parchment Paper
  • Sharp knife to cut the fudge

How to Make Easy Fudge

  1. Melt chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl, add to larger bowl if needed. To melt, start by heating for 1 minute then stir, continue heating for 20 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating. Stop when there are small pieces of chips still in the bowl and stir until completely melted. 
  2. Add frosting to melted chips and still well until completely smooth
  3. Line dish with parchment paper and spread mixture evenly into dish
  4. Immediately add sprinkles and press down slightly into fudge
  5. Chill in refrigerator several hours
  6. Remove from refrigerator and cut into squares

Can I change the flavors on this recipe?

Of course, you can use any flavor frosting you like. During the different seasons, frosting comes in flavors that are popular during that season. 

My fudge is too hard to cut, what do I do?

You can let it warm up on the counter for 10-15 minutes, then you should easily be able to cut it. Be sure to use a really sharp knife. 

How do I get the fudge cut into the same size squares?

Using a ruler is helpful for measuring and cutting the fudge. There is also a tool called a 5-wheel Pasty Cutter. A pizza cutter also works. 

Do I need to keep the fudge in the refrigerator?

Keeping the fudge in the refrigerator is always a good idea, it was cut really soft and sticky if it’s too warm. 

Can I add nuts or other ingredients to the fudge?

Yes you certainly can. Get creative and add what you like.

  • 1 (12 oz) bag white chocolate chips
  • 1 (16 oz) can vanilla frosting
  • Sprinkles, optional

Instructions

    1. Melt chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl, add to larger bowl if needed. To melt, start by heating for 1 minute then stir, continue heating for 20 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating. Stop when there are small pieces of chips still in the bowl and stir until completely melted. 
    2. Add frosting to melted chips and still well until completely smooth
    3. Line dish with parchment paper and spread mixture evenly into dish
    4. Immediately add sprinkles and press down slightly into fudge
    5. Chill in refrigerator several hours
    6. Remove from refrigerator and cut into squares
    7. Store in airtight container
    8. Keep leftovers in refrigerator
