Welcome! Let’s Get Started
Do you find yourself caught up in the rat race? Being too busy to do the things that mean the most to you? Going through your days – weeks – months – maybe even years – and then looking back and wondering where the time went and what just happened?
I get it! I’ve been there!
Hoosier Homemade is all about inspiring women who want to build lasting memories with their families, but feel the weight of society burdening them – telling them they have to do it all and must have “Instagram-worthy” lives – causing them to feel like they’re constantly short on time and, ultimately never good enough.
Trying to live up to the standards of society is causing these women to lose themselves in the process of trying to make life better for their families. It doesn’t have to be this way!
Building lasting memories doesn’t have to be difficult or complicated and Hoosier Homemade is committed to offering you simple and easy recipes, ideas for your home, holiday inspiration, and creative crafts that you and your family will love. With Hoosier Homemade on your side, you can start building long-standing traditions and lasting memories with your family without always putting yourself last and sacrificing your life’s balance.
Hi, I’m Liz. I’m the founder of Hoosier Homemade and I understand how easy it can be for your life to get out of balance when you are taking care of your home and family.
As a young Mom, I thought I had to do it all – fancy parties, perfectly organized and clean home, and children that were involved in every activity possible.
All I wanted was for my family to be well taken care of and to build lasting memories with them. But time and money always felt short, leaving me feeling like I was never enough.
Society was constantly telling me…and I was listening…that I needed to “keep up with the Jone’s” and that it was my job as the Mom and wife to take care of everything, which usually meant that what I really wanted didn’t matter.
I spent many years living this way – working myself to exhaustion for my family – until my health began failing. The worst part was I realized that my family was slipping away too and my home didn’t feel like I had wanted it to.
That’s when I realized that the only way to truly take care of my family was if I was taking care of myself. I started small at first. I took one baby step at a time…giving myself permission to do more things that made me feel good. And my life slowly began to feel more joyful and balanced.
That’s why I’m so passionate about sharing recipes and tips that are simple and easy. So you can find more time for yourself. Over the last decade of sharing through Hoosier Homemade, I’ve had the pleasure of helping millions of women, like you, take care of their homes and build lasting memories with their families without sacrificing their life’s balance.
