Easy Rag Tie Basket: Spring Inspiration

One of the first types of crafting I ever did was with my grandmother when I was a little girl. We took worn sheets, shirts and other bits of material and created rag tie rugs. I can remember spending many days sitting on her porch in the summer, sipping sweet tea and tie pieces of material. Those same methods were used in creating this easy rag tie basket. It’s a great beginner project to get kids of all ages involved and it’s adorable, too!

40 Days of Spring Inspiration continues with Day 19! Each day we are inspiring you with recipes, decorating ideas, crafts, tips for your home and much more!

This simple Spring Decoration can be made with just a couple supplies and a little time! This is a great kis craft too! Pin to your Craft Board!

Isn’t this basket adorable? This would look great sitting on a table in your entry way or on a porch that has been decorated for spring. I think it would also be great if you took more material and made a rag tie wreath with it. Maybe that should be an upcoming project. What do you think?
