Thanksgiving Countdown: Day 3: Decorating with Printable Banner

Jump to recipe!

Well here we are on Day 3 of our Thanksgiving Countdown. We have planned our menu and gathered our supplies, which are necessary things to do to get ready for Thanksgiving, so today we are taking a little break to do some decorating.

While I don’t typically decorate for Thanksgiving Day, I do love to have our home cozy and inviting! I decided to leave the Fall Mantel the way it is, mostly because I simply love it. But the Hoosier Cabinet needed a little pick-me-up, so I scoured the house for items to use and got to work decorating and creating the Printable Thanksgiving Banner for you!

Isn’t the “Give Thanks” Banner really cute? I have a FREE Printable for you, but first, let me show you how I decorated the Hoosier Cabinet.

On top, the Chalkboard that I had on the Front Porch {head on over there for the details on how we made it} got a little face lift with a few things I’m VERY thankful for. Then a wooden box filled with pumpkins, gourds, pinecones and a tall candle. A small cornucopia filled with apples and clementines, and a handful of Indian corn finished out the top.

Then on the shelves, a clear glass vase filled with a candle surrounded with fresh cranberries, and a terra cotta pot dressed like a Pilgrim, leftover from the table centerpiece from last year, with a pumpkin. A ceramic Turkey and a wooden pumpkin finish off the shelves.

Now…let’s chat about this cute little Thanksgiving Banner! So I wanted to have a “Give Thanks” Banner, and looked around on Pinterest and did a quick search, but came up empty. Then I remembered the Fall Cupcake Toppers that Charlotte designed last year and thought they would work perfectly.

So I tried my hand at a little design work. It took me a little time, but I’m happy with the results! And guess what? I made them into a printable for you!

And the other really fun thing…they can also be used for cupcake toppers, either leave them square or punch them out with a circle hole punch. Here’s what you need to do for the Printable “Give Thanks” Thanksgiving Banner
