Coming together as a family is something we have always cherished. Whether it’s for a big holiday dinner, Sunday dinner, a quick lunch, or just a few hours to eat and play a game.

Fall Family Game Night

Recently, our oldest son moved to his own home, which left us empty-nesters for the first time. Our youngest son is a freshman at Indiana State University and our middle son graduated college last Spring and is back at the college as the strength and conditioning coach.

When we were finishing up the She Shed, I decided we would have all the boys home for a weekend to spend time together in the new shed. The whole family had a hand in building it – one way or another – and I wanted the boys to celebrate the success of it being finished. But more importantly, I wanted us to be together.

Keeping it simple was important for me. I didn’t want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, I wanted to have time to spend with the boys while they were home.

Creating a special time for the family to be together was simple. Here is what we enjoyed for our Fall family meal –
