Ingredients
- 1 box Nabisco Nilla Wafers
- Wilton Sparkle Gel in red and pink (I found mine at wal-mart)
- m&ms or similar candies
- various sprinkles and decorations
- Red and White Jimmies
- Cinnamon Red Hots
- Silver Dragees
- Celebration by Sweetworks Pearls
- -Celebration by Sweetworks Candy Hearts
- 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar, divided
- Water
- Ziplock bag
- Wax Paper
Instructions
- Before you begin, prepare your area for decorating. Place waxed paper on a clean surface and gather all of your decorations.
- In a bowl, mix 1 cup of sugar with 3 teaspoons of water and mix well. Set aside. This will be used to dip your cookies.
- Mix 1/2 cup of powdered sugar in a separate bowl and add 1 1/2 teaspoons of water. Spoon into a ziplock bag and cut the corner to use this bag for piping letters.
- I dusted off my Nilla Wafers with my fingertips before decorating. Use piping bag of sugar, color gels and decorations to create unique treats. Place on wax paper to dry.
- When dipping wafers into powdered sugar icing, be sure to scrape the icing off the back of the wafer with the edge of the bowl and make sure to let the excess drip back into the bowl. Then plunge your icing into jimmies or sprinkles.
- Let dry and deliver your cupid notes with an open heart!
