By July 16, 2012Crafts, DIY Projects

Who loves going to the beach? Here in Northwest Indiana, we are surrounded by beautiful lakes, both small and very large like Lake Michigan. What better way to celebrate Summer than with a Beach Party? I know invitations can be expensive, so I’ve put together the directions for you on how to make Beach Party Invitations. Be sure to stay tuned for all the fun we are pulling together for our Beach Party!

With a little scrapbook paper and some simple supplies, you can put together these invites in minutes. Let’s get started…

Beach Party Invitation Supplies

  • Scrapbook Paper – blue for water, tan for beach and colors for the Lobster, Crab, Whale and Sail Boat
  • Cardstock for invitation base
  • Maritime Die Cuts from Lifestyle Crafts
  • Epic Die Cut Machine
  • Sharpie Pen or other marker
  • Glue, Tape Runner or some type of adhesive
Directions:
  1. Cut cardstock 6 x 4 inches
  2. Cut the blue paper 6 x 2 inches and the tan paper for sand 6 x 2 inches
  3. Trim the blue paper to make the waves
  4. Glue down the water and then the sand
  5. Using the Epic Die Cut Machine, cut out the animals and boat. Glue them down.
  6. Using the Sharpie {or other marker} write the Beach Party words across the top
  7. On the back of the invite, pull all your important information…name, place, etc.
