Christmas Tree Tour: Ladder Tree
I have been looking forward to the Holiday Season for months now. I’m so excited to start sharing some Christmas decorating ideas with you. If you have been around here for a little while, you may remember my Holiday Home Tour from last year.
If you are new…welcome and hold on tight because I get a little crazy around this time of year. You see, I put up 12 Christmas Trees…yes 12! My family thinks I’m just a little crazy, but little do they know I’m extremely crazy…about Christmas, of course!
So today marks the beginning of the Christmas Tree Tour, we are going to start at the front door with this adorable Ladder Tree.
As you may have seen in the Splendidly Homemade Magazine {new online publication that I recently released}, Doug and I LOVE to come up with unusual Christmas Trees. This tree was actually given to us by my sister-in-law {thanks D we LOVE it}. We knew right away we had to share it with you.
The tree is created on a wooden ladder, then some artificial greenery, red berries, red jingle bells and rustic Christmas ornaments like stars and snowmen. Doug added the lights, they are a Micro Set. I love how they make the greenery twinkle. We placed the Ladder Tree in our front foyer, added some of my large snowmen and an antique sled.
And a little peek at the Themed Trees we created for Splendidly Homemade…

I can’t wait to see all of the themed trees! Your ladder tree is beautiful and works great in small places. We have 12 trees in our home this year with 11 of them being themed. We’re always looking for a little inspiration.
That is a beautifully unique tree! I love it!

The ladder tree is adorable, especially in that cute vignette with the snowmen and vintage sled. In the past couple of years I have shared a few of our themed trees including cowboy, natural and white, sparkly and white, and Canadiana but this year I am again switching things up.
I love that ladder tree. What a great idea!
I bet that tree is a conversation piece when people walk in. I know I’ve never seen one like it, but it works well in the rustic setting that you’ve made. Love your snowmen. A few years ago, I painted some that look almost like those, and ever year I can’t wait to pull them out of storage.
Thanks so much Shannon! I love my snowmen, especially since they can stay out all winter.
