Blueberry Cobbler & A Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED

Well, I wouldn’t typically show you such a dirty dish, but the dirtier the better for this post.

My BlogSpark and P&G recently sent me the baking dish and some Cascade Complete All-in-1 Action Pacs to give them a try.

Let me tell you, most everything I buy is store brand. I shop at Aldi’s for groceries, and Walmart for household products. I used the Walmart brand of dishwasher soap, because well…it was cheaper. On a typical day, I do 2 loads of dishes, on a cooking or baking day, I’ve been known to have 5-6 loads, so I try to save where I can. Before I tried the Cascade Action Pacs, I really thought that my dishwasher was not very good, that maybe it was just a bottom of the line dishwasher and didn’t get the job done. I would spend lots of time, pre-washing, rinsing and MOST of the time, re-washing dishes that came out of the dishwasher still dirty. So, I not only was spending more time washing the dishes, but also more money on water and soap.

My challenge was to bake a Blueberry Cobbler, wash the dish and show you the results.

And of course, I couldn’t bake without sharing the recipe…

Hmmm. I think if I won a $25 Wal Mart card, I would go have some fun in the Garden Department–or maybe look for fun stuff for organizing.

Oh, and that blueberry cobbler looks yummy. Thanks for the giveaway. Have a blessed weekend.

  2. The cheap dishwasher detergents just don’t get the job done. I have tried these and they are great. With a gift card….I’d probably buy either craft stuff or groceries.

  3. I would use the giftcard towards purchases for our new house and baby. Nothing specific I can think of, but I know we’ll be remodeling and buying lots of things in the near future!

Hmm, I think I would buy myself a new waffle maker. I love waffles!! Thanks for the chance to win.

  7. I would buy the toiletries and cleaning supplies I’m low on.

  8. I’m already a follower and I’m planning on making this recipe PDQ.

  9. You know what – I think I’ll try those Action Pacs. Simply because my dishwasher can get the dishes clean but it leaves that soap residue all over so maybe it is the soap. (Jet Dry does not help, btw.)

  10. Liz-I have tried saving money on store brand dishwasher soap and it does not pay off! Thanks for the tip about the pacs which, of course, I would try with the gift card 🙂 And then I think I will go to the Wilton section or to the dishes or to the garden center or buy blue berries…They always get my $ anyway 🙂
