Baseball Bucket Card Holder

Well the big Graduation Party is tomorrow, we have been working like crazy people trying to get ready, somehow it always pulls together at the last minute. Since we are having a Baseball Themed Party, I thought it would be fun to come up with a Card Holder that looked like a Baseball. So Doug and I headed to Walmart to see what we could come up with.

Our first thought was a round box from the craft department…no luck. Then we thought maybe a box from the office supply department…no luck. So then we headed over to the paint department…and bingo…a white bucket with a lid and red Duck Tape…perfect!

This did take a little time, mostly because I’m a nut, and tried getting all the baseball strings perfectly even. But it wasn’t difficult, and the Duck Tape pulled right off and re-positioned very easily. Oh and by the way…have you seen all the fun designs that Duck Tape has now? Lots of fun ideas to use in your crafting.

Here’s what you need…

  • White plastic bucket {found in paint department, it was under $5 with the lid}
  • Duck Tape {red for a baseball or any other color you like}

Using a dry erase marker, draw the lines like a baseball.

Then add the Duck Tape over the lines

Cut small strips of Duck Tape and add it for the strings on the baseball. Using an X-ACTO Knife, cut a slot in the lid for the cards.

Don’t need a Card Holder? How about storing balls in the garage, or organizing toys in a playroom? Or even serving snacks to the Baseball Team! The ideas are endless!

What would you use the Baseball Bucket for?
