A Special Picnic with Marketside Products
During my recent trip to Arkansas for the Walmart Shareholders Meeting, the Walmart Moms were treated to a special picnic with the new Marketside Products and Grilled Steak. We arrived at the beautiful Horton Farms in rural Arkansas, and although it was a breezy, chilly evening, we all enjoyed this very special evening.
While the view was gorgeous, what we really came for was to try the new Marketside Food. Many of the Moms enjoyed the new premium Steak, and although I didn’t have any while we were at Horton Farms, Doug grilled up a few steaks for a Father’s Day treat and he loved them!
I tried several of the Marketside Salads; Garden Veggie Chopped Salad, Asian Chopped Salad and this Southwest Chopped Salad was my favorite, with Romaine lettuce, green cabbage, 3 cheeses, seasoned tortilla chips, red pepper and jalapeno with chipotle ranch dressing. All of the new Marketside Salad Kits come complete with everything you need to serve for around $3.50.
Next up were these amazing Bavarian Pretzel Sticks, which were the favorite among all the Walmart Moms. Really, my friends…these are delicious. Serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauce and you have a perfect appetizer, side dish or even late night snack. My only complaint…there are only 6 in the package…so be prepared to buy a few packages, because they will disappear fast!
And speaking of appetizers, we also tried the Chicken Bacon Ranch and Italian Pinwheels…super easy and delicious!
And you all know, I really wanted to start my meal with dessert! Especially when they served trays of cupcakes like this! There were three to choose from…and well…I just had to try all three.
Up first…the Chips Ahoy Party Combo Cake with a 5” double layer chocolate cake Filled with Chips AHoy Icing and surrounded by 10 chocolate cupcakes iced in buttercream and Chips aHoy Icing, then the Oreo Party Combo Cake with a 5” double layer chocolate cake Filled with Oreo Icing and surrounded by 10 chocolate cupcakes iced in buttercream and Oreo Icing and my favorite the Bubble Gum & Cotton Candy Party Combo Cake with a 5” double layer cake Filled with Bubble Gum Icing and surrounded by 10 white cupcakes iced in buttercream and alternating bubble gum and cotton candy icing.
A special thank you to Walmart for such a fun event and for always treating us like royalty! It’s such a pleasure to work with such a great group of people!

Chopped salads are my new favorite thing. My Wal Mart has the Asian salad kit and it is really good! I am going to be on the lookout for those pretzel sticks!
