Easy Valentine Cupcakes: Cupcake Tuesday
Welcome to Cupcake Tuesday! I’m so glad to have you! If you are new, you can find all my cupcake designs and recipes on the Cupcake Heaven page.
Wow! Did you see all the amazing cupcakes last week? 21 entries!! I was so excited to see them all! Today I have another quick and easy Valentine Cupcake for you. Just by adding a little Wilton Sparkle Gel to your decorator bag, you can make regular frosting look fancy.
To create the striped frosting, simply add the Sparkle Gel to the inside of the bag, I added 2 stripes of each color. Add the frosting and then squeeze out some of the frosting until the colors start to flow. I used the #1M Wilton tip.
Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be the same without a little chocolate. These Valentine Cupcakes start with a chocolate cake mix, add some chocolate frosting, a few sprinkles on the side and some fun chocolate lips. I bought the lips at Albanese Confectionery Store, but you might be able to find something similar at Walmart.
The large heart sprinkles came from Wilton and the hearts with the center cut out came from Bake It Pretty. The pink sprinkles are also from Wilton.
Disclaimer: I received products from Wilton. As always my opinions are my own.
Don’t forget to enter to win a $100 Home Depot Gift Card! Ends Friday, February 3rd.
Now it’s your turn…show off your cupcake creations! I’d appreciate a link back and be sure to check out the other cupcakes!
These look amazing!! Love the heart sprinkles.
Your cupcakes and the others submitted to you for consideration by other bloggers are all wonderful. I’d be hard-pressed to pick a favorite from among them. I’m new to your blog and have just finished browsing through some of your earlier entries. I really like the food and recipes you feature here. I’ll definitely be back. I hope you have a great day. Blessings…Mary

Question about the tip used with the sparkle gel. You say you used a Wilton #3 but from what I see that is a round tip. Pictured tip looks very different. Can you please confirm that it was Wilton #3. Thankis
I’m sorry Donna…the tip in the picture is a star tip #1M…I was planning on re-checking it and forgot. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Thank you, I have that one and I love the way yours came out. Thanks so much.
Donna
Drool, drool, these look delish. I plan on making some Valentines cupcakes, but haven’t made any cupcakes in forever! I love the two tone frosting, it makes it so pretty and those big red foil lips are just kissable.
Hi Liz,
LOVE you cupcakes that sparkle get sure adds a great touch! I linked up my cupcakes and look forward to seeing what other have made. Thanks!
I’ve been to Albanese and love their chocolate fountain. As you can see I’m trying to pipe my icing again as I’m determined not to give up. I would love to see a icing tutorial sometime perhaps in your baking 101 series. Hope you are safe and warm today during the blizzard as I am hunkered down for the Icepocolypse here in central Indiana.
I think your cupcakes look great! I did a video awhile back that might help, http://hoosierhomemade.com/smore-cupcakes-and-strawberry-lemonade-cupcakescupcake-challenge/ I will also add it to my Baking 101 list.
Thanks for stopping by and linking up. ~Liz
