By | Baking, Dessert, Holidays, Holidays, Home page - Slider, Mini Desserts, No Bake, Pies/Tarts, Special, Valentine's Day | 6 Comments

Well it’s almost here, only one more week until Valentine’s Day! Have you decided what you are baking? Today I have some easy, no bake treats for you to whip up for your family or give as gifts with the Free Printables! These little White Chocolate Strawberry Cream Pies can be made individually like I did or in a larger pie to slice and serve!

Oh so delicious…they start with a chocolate cookie crust made with OREO cookies and butter, then the white chocolate filling has cream cheese, sugar, almond extract and melted white chocolate giving it a creamy texture.

Pop them in the fridge to set up for a couple hours, then top them with Lucky Leaf Strawberry Pie Filling, and you have a perfect Valentine’s Day treat!

To serve, I added a spoonful of the Lucky Leaf Strawberry Pie Filling and pulled my spoon through to spread it out, then sprinkled a few hearts on top.

Serving to your family or sweetheart is wonderful, but maybe you would like to give the neighbor, teacher or maybe a friend a special treat. Lucky Leaf has provided the most adorable Valentine’s Day Printables for you.

There are drink flags, like we used on the Valentine’s Day Breakfast, tags for your baked goods and even little hearts for gifts…super cute!

By | Baking, Candy, Dessert, Holidays, Home page - Slider, Mini Desserts, No Bake, Sweet Treats, Tasty Holiday Gifts, Valentine's Day | 5 Comments

Ahh…Chocolate…I love pretty much anything chocolate! If you are Chocolate Lover…you are going to LOVE this post! I’m very honored to call Susan Branch, an amazing author and artist, my friend. When I tweeted her that I couldn’t find my Valentine Love Book, she quickly replied and offered to email me her Chocolate Menu and Chocolate Eclairs Recipe! I tried to order a new book on Amazon, but unfortunately they are out of print. I’m so excited that Susan offered to share them with me…and you!

I decided to add these Gourmet Chocolate Dipped Strawberries to the Chocolate Menu! Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and these would make the perfect Valentine’s Day gift or for any special celebration.

I’ve been making Chocolate Dipped Strawberries for many years, with just a few simple ingredients you can make these little decadent treats. After seeing the recent commercials for Gourmet Chocolate Dipped Strawberries, I knew I needed to give them a try and share them with you.

The topping ideas are endless, for these I used crushed Oreos, Peanut Butter Cookies, and Sprinkles. I think it would also be fun to match the sprinkles to your birthday party theme or maybe a Bachelorette Party.

But for today…we decorated them for Valentine’s Day. Wouldn’t your sweetie love getting a box filled with these Gourmet Chocolate Dipped Strawberries? I know I would!

Mini Fried Candy Bars

By | Baking, Candy, Dessert, Home page - Slider, Kid Friendly/Special Events, Mini Desserts, No Bake, Snacks, Sweet Treats, Tasty Holiday Gifts | No Comments

Have I got a treat for you!! Mini Fried Candy Bars…oh my! And let me tell you, your Valentine will love you even more if you make these little bites of ooey-gooey heaven for them! And guess what? They are easy!

Quite awhile back I saw Fried Candy Bars everywhere on the Food Network, and filed the idea way back in my brain…and promptly forgot about them. Until recently, I was watching one of my favorite shows on The Cooking Channel, Unique Sweets. I love that show, if you haven’t seen it, you must. I have found so many interesting ideas by watching.

Anyway, back to the Fried Candy Bars…we used mini size, so that it was easier to handle them but you can certainly use whatever size you like. We also found that they tasted better while they were still hot, but my youngest gobbled them up hours after they had been cooked.

We used Three Musketeers, Milky Way and Snickers but I can imagine there are endless possibilities out there. My favorite were the Three Musketeers, when bitten into there is a flood of chocolate heaven in every bite.
