Notre Dame Cupcakes + Football Party Food

In just two short days, our hometown team, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, play in the BCS Championship Football Game. Over the years we have watched the Notre Dame Football Team struggle, so it’s extra special to see them have a great season.

To celebrate, we put together a Football Party complete with Notre Dame Cupcakes, food, decorations and party supplies!

These fun cupcakes can easily be adapted for any team, by simply changing the colors and design. I started with a Green Velvet Cupcake Recipe frosted with white icing and sprayed with Wilton Gold Color Mist and used Candy Clay for the shamrocks, and gold icing for the writing.

I’ll share the complete recipe and instructions below, but for now, let’s see the rest of the Football Party

We found everything at Walmart, including the Notre Dame plates, napkins, cups and our Notre Dame Street Sign. Here’s what we served…

The Football Sandwiches are super easy filled with Ham Salad from the Walmart Deli, and the Mini Sausage Balls were such a hit for the holidays, we decided to make them again.

Chips and Nacho Cheese is super easy and always a hit!

To keep those with New Year’s Resolutions happy, we served Healthy Taco Salad with lean ground turkey topped with corn and beans for fiber.

But of course, the Notre Dame Cupcakes were the most popular!

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish cups worked well with the small bottles of soda.

And we found 2 sizes of paper plates too! Make your Game Time easy and fun at your one-stop shop…Walmart!
