Mini Funfetti Birthday Cupcake Cones + Giveaway
Celebrating birthdays in our house is always a special time! A special dinner is made, presents are shared and of course birthday dessert! I always let the boys chose the dessert they would like to celebrate with. These Mini Funfetti Birthday Cupcake Cones are always a hit!
Baking the Pillsbury Funfetti Cake Mix right in the cone is a really easy. And serving them is just plain fun!
Pillsbury is commemorating Funfetti 25th Birthday this year with four all-new frostings in bold, vibrant colors; Bold Purple that comes with brightly colored dot sprinkles, Aqua Blue that comes with shark sprinkles, Hot Pink that comes with pink sugar sprinkles and Vibrant Green that comes with dot sprinkles.
The Mini Funfetti Birthday Cupcake Cones are just as fun to make as they are to eat! Along with the Pillsbury Funfetti Cake Mix and the new Funfetti frostings, I also used Mini Cones. You can find them right next to all the Ice Cream Cones and toppings.
How to Bake Cupcake Cones
- Mix the cupcake batter according to the directions on the box
- Lightly spray a mini muffin pan with cooking spray
- Add about 1 tablespoon of cake batter in each
- Turn cone upside down and place on top of batter, be sure to totally cover the batter
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 6-8 minutes
Notes:
- You can also fill the cone with batter about 1/2 full and bake upright. I have found the method above to be much easier.
- If your cone does not totally cover the batter, it’s okay, it will just bake up more around the cone and spill over the edge of the cone a bit.
After the Cupcake Cones have cooled, fit a decorator bag with a large round tip, fill with Funfetti Frosting and pipe a swirl on top, finish with sprinkles.
Are you celebrating a birthday soon? Here are a few fun tips for you…
- Keep it simple. If you are serving food, make as many of the dishes ahead that you can. I like serving “Make Your Own” Bars, like Tacos or Hot Dogs with lots of yummy toppings.
- Celebrate for the whole month by hanging a fun Birthday Balloon Wreath on the Door.
- If you have more than 1 child, take turns having a large celebration. Birthday parties can get expensive, so take turns with the kids.

I always make a big home made dinner and home made cakes its my gift to my family and its easyer for a family on a low income
Theme Parties make planning much easier.
Shop year round for supplies like paper goods, treat bag items, and more. Great to pick up things when you see them on clearance (and sometimes what you want might be sold out in 6 months when you actually need it!).
I plan Birthdays and the theme of the party, and then make lists, so I will be sure and have everything just s the birthday person will love.
My birthday party rule; get some solid food (preferably with protein in it) into those kids before you break out the sweets and cake. I figure it’s all going to be messy anyway so I give’em spaghetti and they always eat it. Keeps things from getting completely out of hand I find.
If you plan to have a party, make a budget and stick to it. Making the person feel special is more important than spending a whole lot of money you don’t have.
I always try to make things & set everything up the day before so I dont have so much to do the day of the party.
My tip would have to be like many others–plan ahead! This way you won’t be stressed out on the big day. Also, on birthdays my older sister likes to make a dessert table with the birthday party theme. Both adults and children enjoy them!
Thank you for this giveaway!
My best birthday top is plan in advance, I always leave it until too late to get all of the decorative items I need.
I love to plan the birthday cake/cupcakes weeks in advance! So much FUN!
I always write all birthdays on my calendar so I do not forget anyone.
My best tip, start days ahead, have everything planed out.
Best birthday tip is to enroll help from your family!
I always keep an eye out for great deals on party supply staples.. It’s one less thing to worry about later or if its a spur of the moment get together.
I bake a cupcake each year for all of my grandchildren’s birthday. It’s a special cupcake just for them decorated to match their interests or personality. These cupcake cones would be so fun to do for them!
