Easter Cupcakes: Jelly Bean Surprise
Easter is on it’s way and you know what that means…fun desserts, cupcakes, Jelly Beans and Peeps! These Easter Cupcakes are filled with a little surprise of Jelly Beans, some have Blue Raspberry Peeps and also the darling Printable Cupcake Toppers!
These Easter Cupcakes are not only adorable and tasty, they are super simple to make…just how we like them.
There are three different Easter Cupcakes – Jelly Bean Surprise, Blue Raspberry Peeps and the Free Printable Cupcake Toppers. I started with a Duncan Hines Signature Lemon Supreme Cake Mix and added the ingredients to make it taste homemade.
First up are the Jelly Bean Surprise Cupcakes, after the cupcakes are baked and cooled, using a small sharp knife, cut out a small cone from the center of the cupcake, then add a few Starburst Jelly Beans. Replace the cone shaped piece of cupcake that you removed and then frost with Buttercream Frosting like I did or your favorite.
Kids and adults alike will be surprised to find their cupcake filled with Jelly Beans.
Did you know that there are some new flavors in Peeps this year? There are Sour Watermelon, Bubble Gum, Sweet Lemonade and Blue Raspberry and are exclusive to Walmart stores. My boys’ favorites were the Sour Watermelon and Blue Raspberry. Check out all the Easter goodies at Walmart.com
For the Peeps Cupcakes, I added Pink Buttercream Frosting, a few sprinkles and a Blue Raspberry Peep. The frosting is piped on with a #1M Decorator Tip.

The set of Cupcake Toppers are in pastel colors with a bunny, chick, flower and a Happy Easter. I cut them out with a 2 inch scalloped hole punch and attached a lollipop stick on the back with tape.

Question: I am already subscribed to both Hoosier Homemade and the Cupcake Chronicles newsletter. How do I gain access to the free printables? In this post for the Easter cupcake toppers it says that they are free to subscribers, but there is no download link for someone who is already subscribed. Please don’t make this a Facebook access because many of us do not wish to be a member of Facebook. Thank you. MM
Hi Marie, no there is and will not be a Facebook access. At the bottom of every Cupcake Chronicles Newsletter are links and passwords for the printables. We ran into a little snag with the newsletter yesterday, but you should be receiving these printables tomorrow or Friday.
