Tackling My To Do List

To Do list

I am a list maker! Yep, all over the house, you will find my lists. I tried to do my list making on the computer and my calendar, but it just didn’t work. I guess I’m just a pencil and paper gal!

I have been feeling a little overwhelmed with all that I have to do. My Father-In-Law and his lady friend are visiting this weekend, so my house needs to be “company” ready but also “over-night guest” ready.

One of the things my Mom always said that has stuck with me, “if you want to get something done, have a party.”

So, today, I’m tackling my to do list…

House

  1. Back yard  (clean up and pull weeds)
  2. Front yard (pull weeds and trim bushes, DH does this)
  3. Basement (clean and organize a bit)
  4. Kitchen (deep clean shelves)
  5. Decorate for Fall
  6. Put chest in bathroom
  7. Clean computer screen
  8. Get bedrooms ready (new sheets, etc)
  9. Clean off desk

Work

  1. Write post for Blissfully Domestic
  2. Write guest post for Smockity Frocks
  3. Work on flyer and program for Food Service
  4. Sew bags and fall decorations for Etsy
  5. Enter listings on Ebay and Craigslist
  6. Work on posts for the rest of the week
  7. Write future posts

Personal

  1. Shave legs  (yep, even have to add this to the list, my DH thinks I’m crazy,”but it only takes 5 minutes to shave your legs” he says) :)
  2. Switch out summer clothes
  3. Take dog for a walk (I need to walk everyday)
  4. Take Andrew to practice driving
  5. Pick up Football pictures

Cooking/Baking

  1. Bake for Football Team on Thursday
  2. Bake for Dad’s visit
  3. Prepare Saturday morning breakfast ahead

As a SAHM, even though my boys are in school all day, I always have tons of work to do. You can read more about how I handle my SAHM duties on the Mommy, Come Home series.

How is your To Do List looking? Are you crazy busy like me?

I love lists, too. Once something is on paper and prioritized, I can relax and focus on what needs to be done.

    Enjoy checking things off!
