Tackling My To Do List

I am a list maker! Yep, all over the house, you will find my lists. I tried to do my list making on the computer and my calendar, but it just didn’t work. I guess I’m just a pencil and paper gal!
I have been feeling a little overwhelmed with all that I have to do. My Father-In-Law and his lady friend are visiting this weekend, so my house needs to be “company” ready but also “over-night guest” ready.
One of the things my Mom always said that has stuck with me, “if you want to get something done, have a party.”
So, today, I’m tackling my to do list…
House
- Back yard (clean up and pull weeds)
- Front yard (pull weeds and trim bushes, DH does this)
- Basement (clean and organize a bit)
- Kitchen (deep clean shelves)
- Decorate for Fall
- Put chest in bathroom
- Clean computer screen
- Get bedrooms ready (new sheets, etc)
- Clean off desk
Work
- Write post for Blissfully Domestic
- Write guest post for Smockity Frocks
- Work on flyer and program for Food Service
- Sew bags and fall decorations for Etsy
- Enter listings on Ebay and Craigslist
- Work on posts for the rest of the week
- Write future posts
Personal
- Shave legs (yep, even have to add this to the list, my DH thinks I’m crazy,”but it only takes 5 minutes to shave your legs” he says)
- Switch out summer clothes
- Take dog for a walk (I need to walk everyday)
- Take Andrew to practice driving
- Pick up Football pictures
Cooking/Baking
- Bake for Football Team on Thursday
- Bake for Dad’s visit
- Prepare Saturday morning breakfast ahead
As a SAHM, even though my boys are in school all day, I always have tons of work to do. You can read more about how I handle my SAHM duties on the Mommy, Come Home series.
How is your To Do List looking? Are you crazy busy like me?

I love lists, too. Once something is on paper and prioritized, I can relax and focus on what needs to be done.
Enjoy checking things off!
