This week, it’s all about the Super Bowl. Are you an Indianapolis Colts fan or are you cheering for the New Orleans Saints?
Living in a home with all men, football is pretty big around here. Although, for me, I usually don’t have time to watch regular football games. Although I usually do watch the Super Bowl, this Sunday I’ll be traveling home from the Blissdom Conference. (yep! can’t wait to go!!)

But, for all you party goers, I just had to come up with a Super Bowl Cupcake for you. Awhile back I shared my Team Spirit Cupcakes with Football decorations. These cupcakes are baked with a color tinted white cake batter, and although I loved how the orange and black cupcakes turned out, I just wasn’t sure about a blue cupcake for the Colts or a Black and Gold cupcake for the Saints.
So, I just stayed with my favorite chocolate cupcake and decorated them.
For Colts fans…

For the toppers, I found the team logos at this Sports Logo site, printed them, and cut them out. Then I used a piece of brown construction paper, drew a football, cut it out and glued the logo on. Then taped them to a toothpick.
For the Saints fan…

For the Football Field cupcakes, I tinted Buttercream Frosting green and used my decorator tip that has a zigzag edge. Then piped on a single white line and the 50 yard numbers. Then I placed a chocolate football.
These cupcakes were fun and easy to make. You could certainly change them to fit any sporting event or special team that your family loves.
