Alice Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed

Have you heard about Alice? Everyone needs an Alice. Even the Brady Bunch did  :)

I have to admit, I’m not really much of an online shopper. And especially when it comes to our household items.

When I heard about Alice months ago, I checked out their site a little, but dismissed it, not really thinking too much about it again.

But, while attending the Blissdom Conference earlier this month, I received a $20 New Customer Gift Card at the Savvy Blogging Dinner.

Well, of course, I wasn’t going to let a $20 Gift Card go to waste, so I headed back to their site and did a little more looking. And what I found was amazement! Could I really buy our household items, online, have them shipped directly to my door for FREE, compare prices and SAVE money?

Yep, I sure could!

With my Gift Card, I received the items pictured above, I spent $17.94. Of course, being the frugal homemaker that I am, during my next trip to Walmart, I took a list of the items that I received from Alice and did my own price comparison. Well…Walmart prices were less than Alice, but let me tell you, only 50 cents! I was happily surprised.

I not only can save money shopping with Alice, I save gas money and stay within budget. Because, we all know, we very seldom buy only what’s on our list, especially at Walmart or when we have the children with us.

Alice is also very user friendly. The website is simple to navigate, even for this non-techy Mom. They have a wide variety of products, including items for the bathroom, bedroom, office, nursery, kitchen, garage and even the pantry to name a few. The products are shipped, FREE, and I received mine in only 2 days.

As you probably know, if you have been visiting here, this week is my 1 year Blogging Anniversary. I’m celebrating with a week full of giveaways! On Monday, I offered a Photo Album and yummy Orange Sweet Rolls and on Tuesday, I offered the fun Hello Cupcake Cookbook. Each of the giveaways is open for 1 week, allowing you plenty of time to enter.

Today, I’m excited to be able to offer a $20 New Customer Gift Card provided by Alice, to one lucky reader!

Full Disclosure: Alice is providing the $20 New Customer Gift Card directly to the winner. My opinions of Alice and their products are my own.

My favorite tip to stay on budget is to pay-off our credit cards in full every month. (Don’t spend what you don’t have!) That way, you’re not paying any interest, and, of course, saving a lot of money. And if you are in debt, paying a little extra every month, applied to the principle, really helps to bring down that debt fast.

  11. Tracy says:

So that I do not stray on my food budget, I create weekly menus and shop accordingly. It keeps me from purchasing extras or items I do not need.

Try to use plenty of coupons. A great place to get them, rather than buying tons of papers just for the circulars, is to go by your local recycling place. Ours has the papers in one section and it is enclosed. Most people throw away the whole paper and I can get extra coupons

I have a budget for each month and I keep track of all our spending. At the end of the month I look through my purchases and see where I could cut down a little. I also plan out a weeks worth of meals before grocery shopping. This has really helped us not buy unnecessary things and cut out wasted produce.
