Outdoor Swing for the Backyard

Jump to recipe!

After our long Winter, I could hardly wait to get outside and start fixing up the yard. Last year, we painted and landscaped the front yard…

 this year…the backyard.

I have had my eye on a beautiful swing at Walmart ever since the weather started getting nicer. And then last week I noticed it was on rollback for $148, and I couldn’t resist! I added a couple outdoor pillows to brighten it up, they were only $10 each.

I love the way it converts into a hammock! I am really hoping to have a little time for a weekend afternoon nap on this bed. Doug put the swing together for me, and said it went together really easily and the instructions were easy to follow. The quality is great, the frame is sturdy and will last a long time. The swing also comes in tan, red and brown if you order online.

I think next of my list…this cool Fire Pit! I also love how Tina at Mommy’s Kitchen used stone to create their Fire Pit! I’m thinking Peanut Butter and Chocolate Covered Strawberry S’Mores…here we come!

  1. I never knew Walmart had such a selection of firepits. thanks for sharing that.

  2. I came so, so close to buying 2 of those swings for our backporch. I ended up with a different set of furniture from Walmart, but I can’t get that swing out of my mind.

I love that swing, specifically the fact that it can be a hammock, too!

  5. Let me try again! Sorry. I did not know that Walmart sold so many different types of fire pits! I love their selection, and the fact that they are available in a wide range of prices. I am hoping to buy one this summer, after I move, and I will definitely look at Walmart first. Thank you for the info. By the way~Your house is beautiful!
