Nutella Napoleons

Jump to recipe!

[donotprint]Ok my friends…I think you all have been holding out on me! Why in world have you not told me about Nutella?? Really!! I’m totally addicted! So, maybe I should thank you for not filling me in on this totally chocolately goodness!

We’ve had Nutella on our toast, in a sandwich, on cookies and yep…even by the spoonful! But my favorite so far…these Nutella Napoleons with creamy french vanilla pudding, Cool Whip and strawberries! Can I have a second helping please?

You all know I love creating desserts that are very easy to put together but look like you spent a long time on them. These Nutella Napoleons start with the new Pillsbury Crescent Sheets. Just like the original flaky crescent rolls, but you don’t have to press together the seams or mess with shaping them. Just roll it out and bake it up!

Nutella Napoleons Recipe:

  • Pillsbury Crescent Sheets
  • Nutella Spread
  • Vanilla Pudding, instant, small box {I used French Vanilla}
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • Cool Whip, 1 cup plus a little for garnish
  • Strawberries

Directions:

Bake Crescent Sheets according to the directions on the package. Let cool. While the crescents are baking, mix the pudding according to the box, place in fridge until set, about 5 minutes. Fold in 1 cup Cool Whip and place back in fridge.

Slice strawberries and prepare strawberry fans by slicing a strawberry, being sure not to slice all the way through the top {green part}.

After the crescent sheets are cooled, use a serrated knife to cut into squares. Spread Nutella on top and bottom of squares. Spoon pudding mixture and then add sliced strawberries. Add top crescent.

For garnish, spread a small amount of Nutella, a dab of Cool Whip and a strawberry fan.

  1. You didn’t know about Nutella and I’ve never heard of those crescent sheets. How cool are those! That dessert looks fabulous!

  2. Ginette Bartuccio says:

I made this last night for my family. While it tasted wonderful, you can’t go wrong with nutella, it was really messy to eat. The pudding – cool whip, was really runny. Maybe I did something wrong, but I am thinking just pudding may work better.

  3. That looks and sounds delicious! So fresh and perfect for breakfast or dessert.
so your comment on my guest post on Alli-n-sons and had to stop by and see this recipe! Love your blog! XO

  4. I’m a southern girl (SC) but I was introduced to Nutella by my roommate in college who was from Michigan. We ate Nutella with apple slices and toasted bagels (plain).
You might like Fluff as well if you like marshmallows and Fluff comes in flavors.

  5. I love the taste of Nutella but don’t like the fact that it is made with palm oil. That is a very unhealthy oil.

  6. There is also CRUNCHY NUTELLA. It is so yummy. I have also bought the store brand and cannot tell any difference. I really like it on graham crackers or vanilla wafers. My kids like to eat on right off the spoon!

  7. I’ve never tried Nutella either– I’ve been afraid to try it!
