• Color icing green and use a decorator tip #233, fitted in a decorator bag for the grass
• Punch out Cupcake Toppers and add to a lollipop stick
• Add Football Wrapper to cupcake

First Down Punch with Drink Flags and Wraps

• Add Drink Wraps to glasses and flags to straws
• Mix 2 pitchers each of Red and Blue Kool-Aid
• Add a strawberry and a few blueberries to the glasses

1. Keep it simple…everyone loves appetizers, they are easy to make and eat. Prepare them ahead and you are ready to go.
2. Plan ahead…make sure you have plates, napkins, silverware and ice
3. Set up an area for food and drinks separate.
4. Serve the food on different layers, to make it easier for people to reach what they want.
5. Snacks are a must…easy chips and dip like this Pico de Gallo or Queso Cheese Dip are perfect
6. And lastly, dessert…brownies shaped like footballs, cookies and of course, Football Cupcakes are perfect!

It seems like lately, life has been so busy, it’s nice to have a frozen pizza in the freezer to throw in the oven. It’s also convenient for when I’m gone on a business trip and also for Andrew to eat before he heads to work or school.

We had the opportunity to try DiGiorno Rising Crust Pizza for our Super Bowl Party last night. We had never tried this variety before and REALLY liked it, in fact, even more than take out.

Walmart had DiGiorno Pizza on Rollback for $3.98…GREAT price! I think I will head there today and grab a few more, I hope they still have them at that price.

I was so excited when I received a big box on my front porch from My Blog Spark! Football goodies what could be better? Like I mentioned earlier in the week, living in a house with all men, football is pretty standard around here, especially this weekend.

In my package, was a ceramic football serving platter, a table runner, plates and napkins and 2 cans of Old El Paso Green Chiles. I have never cooked with green chilies before, so I was really excited to give them a try. And let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised.

First, I made Southwestern Dip, when I opened the can, they smelled really strong, so I was a little skeptical, because we don’t like our food super spicy around here. But, after mixing it with the other ingredients, they weren’t spicy at all, in fact, the dip will definately be a standard recipe for parties from now on.

I also made some Enchildas with the other can of Old El Paso Green Chiles. I have tried a few different recipes over the last couple months and not really came across one that we liked. So, I headed to my cookbooks, and figured for sure that Pioneer Woman would have an Enchilada recipe, and yep, I was right, and it’s a keeper.

While reading through the ingredients, I was happy to see green chilies, another great recipe for me to try out these green chilies. The recipe also called for Enchilida Sauce, which I didn’t have, but I did remember seeing my friend, Lynn, had the recipe on her blog.  So I jumped on over, grabbed that recipe, which by the way, it also a keeper, and I was all set to start our Enchiladas.

And since, we need to move on to the giveaway…I’ll let you head on over to get the recipe from Pioneer Woman.

Meatballs are easy to make ahead and freeze, then throw them in the crockpot on game day with BBQ Sauce.

These treats I made last year for the Super Bowl, prior to starting Hoosier Homemade. I just have pictures, no recipes, but they are Rice Krispie Treats and Brownies cut into the shape of a football and frosted with team colors.
