Strawberry Trifle Dessert | Hoosier Homemade

Strawberry Trifle Dessert

[ 11 ] June 7, 2009 | CupcakeLady

I recently had a Pampered Chef Party, I shared with you the products that I received for free. One of those products was the Trifle Bowl. And every since I received the bowl, it’s been calling my name from the spot I have it displayed on the buffet. And since I snagged such a great deal on strawberries, and not to mention today is Semi-Homemade Sunday, well, I just couldn’t help but whip up an easy trifle.

I started of course with my empty trifle bowl

I baked a plain white cake in a 13 x 9 pan

For the first layer, I cut the cake in small cubes and placed one layer in the bottom

Then I added a layer of the strawberry creme pudding that is out now with a special Breast Cancer Awareness sponsorship

Then a layer of strawberries. I sliced the strawberries with an egg slicer, quick and easy.

Then I repeated the layers

I topped it all off with a thick layer of Strawberry Flavored Cool Whip and some strawberries that I cut in half for decoration

And doesn’t it look pretty next to the Peonies I cut and brought in today

Now if I was having a party, I would be all set.
