I was recently asked by Collective Bias to shop for the new Simply U Shampoo and Conditioner. With teenagers in our home, we seem to run out of shampoo all the time, and if they run out of their shampoo, then they start using mine.
My hair is very thin and fine, so I like buying shampoo and conditioner that has volumizing in it. The Simply U Shampoo and Conditioner is Sulfate & Paraben Free and also contains vitamins and antioxidants.
According to Wikipedia Sulfate is…”A foaming agent is a surfactant, which when present in small amounts, facilitates the formation of a foam, or enhances its colloidal stability by inhibiting the coalescence of bubbles.“
and Paraben…”are a class of chemicals widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Parabens are effective preservatives in many types of formulas. These compounds, and their salts, are used primarily for their bactericidal and fungicidal properties. They can be found in shampoos, commercial moisturizers, shaving gels, personal lubricants, topical/parenteral pharmaceuticals, spray tanning solution and toothpaste. They are also used as food additives.”
So what does all that mean…well I’m not a scientist, but I do know how I like my hair to look and feel. After trying the shampoo, I did see some improvement in volume and I liked how silky it felt too.
