Rustic Wood Candle Holders: Holiday Inspiration

Jump to recipe!

Create a gorgeous Rustic Wood Candle Holder for your holiday centerpiece or mantel this year. I love the way this looks on a tray with some greenery but it would also look beautiful as a part of your mantel decor with some reindeer, a sleigh and other festive items.

Welcome to Day 70 of the 100 Days of Homemade Holiday Inspiration 2018! Each day we will be inspiring you with recipes, decorating ideas, crafts, homemade gift ideas and much more!

Be sure to read the tips from Marty’s husband before doing this project. He gives tips on the right type of wood to use and about treating the wood before bringing it inside. Always good to have tips like that from someone who has learned their lesson the hard way. And a tip from me, if you are worried about flames and wood, buy battery operated votive candles. What a great project!

  1. Last year I helped my dad chop down a tree in their back yard and I immediately saved some scraps for myself in order to make just this! They are so pretty.

    1. Thanks so much Erin! I think they would make a beautiful centerpiece as well.
