Patriotic Bandana Banner
We continue our fun ideas for the Fourth of July today with this easy to make Patriotic Bandana Banner. Red, White and Blue Bandanas and rope combine to make a fun decoration for your Fourth of July Celebration or even your kiddos Cowboy or Cowgirl Themed Birthday Party.
You can put together this cute Banner in about 15 minutes, use it for your next party or even as a holiday decoration.
Let’s get started…
I found everything I needed at Walmart.
Patriotic Bandana Banner Supplies:
- Bandanas in red, white & blue {found near the purses and accessories or in the men’s apparel}
- Rope or you could use ribbon or twine – we used 1/4 inch Twisted Sisal Rope found in hardware department
- Sewing machine or you can use fabric glue if you don’t have a machine
- Cutting mat and rotary cutter or scissors
Step 1:
- Iron the bandana to remove wrinkles. Fold in a corner to the center to form a triangle, size will depend on the bandana and how large you want them. Add an inch to the long side and cut with a rotary cutter. After you have cut one, use it for a pattern. Cut remaining bandanas.
Step 2:
- Fold over 1 inch and iron seam. There will be a little tail sticking out {like the red bandana}, cut it off even {like the white}
- Sew the seam closed
After the seams are done, simply run the rope through and you are ready to decorate with your Patriotic Bandana Banner.
