Mother’s Day Gift: Flower Pot Craft

Jump to recipe!

I remember when my boys were little and they were so proud to make something for me for Mother’s Day. After being inspired, once again, on Pinterest, I just had to give this Flower Pot Craft a try and share it with you.

It’s easy enough for a child to make for Mom or Grandma, but also a great idea for you as well.

I found everything that I needed at Walmart…let’s gather our supplies…

Flower Pot Craft Supplies

  • Clay Pot and Saucer
  • Spray Paint
  • Accent Paint – we bought a sample in the paint department {we ended up changing our minds and going back for a different color, but at only a couple dollars, you can easily change your mind}
  • Paint brushes for accent paint – I used round sponge brushes for the dots {super easy}
  • Gardening Gloves
  • Flowers
  • Ribbon

Directions:

  1. Wipe down the clay pot and saucer
  2. Spray pot and saucer with spray paint – be sure you work outside and give them a few coats, drying in between coats
  3. After the pot and saucer are dry, add the accent paint, let dry completely
  4. Add Gardening Gloves {or other gardening supplies} and tie with ribbon

Disclosure: This post is part of a campaign I am participating in with the Walmart Moms. Walmart has provided me with compensation and product for this post. My participation is voluntary and opinions, as always are my own.

    Isn’t Walmart great, you can get anything and make anything from it. I went out and had a look for the stuff you said but I couldn’t stop there. I also bought mom a SVC cell phone because it was such a good offer and I like the idea of her being able to call me when she’s out in the garden or anywhere around town. I bought two of everything and I’m going to make one to give her and the other pot she can do with me because I think she will like that.

    1. That’s awesome Natasha! I bet your Mom will love her phone and being able to craft with you is perfect.

  4. So lovely! I’d love a garden full of these but there’s no way I could get my spots so neat!
