Pillsbury is commemorating Funfetti 25th Birthday this year with four all-new frostings in bold, vibrant colors; Bold Purple that comes with brightly colored dot sprinkles, Aqua Blue that comes with shark sprinkles, Hot Pink that comes with pink sugar sprinkles and Vibrant Green that comes with dot sprinkles.

The Mini Funfetti Birthday Cupcake Cones are just as fun to make as they are to eat! Along with the Pillsbury Funfetti Cake Mix and the new Funfetti frostings, I also used Mini Cones. You can find them right next to all the Ice Cream Cones and toppings.

How to Bake Cupcake Cones :: HoosierHomemade.com

How to Bake Cupcake Cones

  1. Mix the cupcake batter according to the directions on the box
  2. Lightly spray a mini muffin pan with cooking spray
  3. Add about 1 tablespoon of cake batter in each
  4. Turn cone upside down and place on top of batter, be sure to totally cover the batter
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 6-8 minutes

Notes:

  • You can also fill the cone with batter about 1/2 full and bake upright. I have found the method above to be much easier.
  • If your cone does not totally cover the batter, it’s okay, it will just bake up more around the cone and spill over the edge of the cone a bit.

After the Cupcake Cones have cooled, fit a decorator bag with a large round tip, fill with Funfetti Frosting and pipe a swirl on top, finish with sprinkles.

Are you celebrating a birthday soon? Here are a few fun tips for you…

  1. Keep it simple. If you are serving food, make as many of the dishes ahead that you can. I like serving “Make Your Own” Bars, like Tacos or Hot Dogs with lots of yummy toppings.
  2. Celebrate for the whole month by hanging a fun Birthday Balloon Wreath on the Door.
  3. If you have more than 1 child, take turns having a large celebration. Birthday parties can get expensive, so take turns with the kids.

You can always shop the dollar section in big stores such as walmart/ targer for party items/supplies for a low price and shop items when they go on clearance throughout the year

  3. Sonya Neal says:

My tip? Well I usually make I possibly can myself and as far in advance as I possibly can, from decorations to food. I am a crafty person who loves to cook and bake so I am blessed! 🙂 But mostly just remember to have FUN!!!

I try to pick things up all year long

My birthday tip is doing finger food and mini desserts for people to chose and decorate with along with planning ahead/getting everything prepped the day or two before!

  6. My tip is to do as much in advance, so that you can enjoy yourself at the party.

Use a calendar so you never forget any special someones!!! 🙂

  8. Jessie C. says:

Set and pick a theme, then start with there.

  9. How cute! I need to find mini cones. For birthdays growing up, I liked to prepare a bunch of pizza dough the night before, and they left my friends shape and decorate/top their own pizzas. It was fun and it fed everyone!

  10. Instead of serving a lot of food, I love doing dessert tables and find items throughout the year to incorporate into them. 🙂

  11. Mary Happymommy says:

My tip is to shop at the Dollar Store for decorations and balloons.

  12. I shop year round for invitations, plates, napkins, gift bag treats, etc. When I find something cool on clearance, I buy it and store it in a tote until their birthdays.

  13. I always make the birthday cake a day or two ahead and stick it in the freezer. That way, I’m not spending someone’s whole birthday in the kitchen! Plus, I really like what freezing does to cakes. Somehow it makes them even better!!

  14. Michele E says:

I always shop early for birthday gifts so I have plenty of time to find that perfect gift.
