The magazine All You, is having a Grocery Spending Challenge. They are hosting a challenge to spend $25 per family member, per week over a 4 week period. And since I do pretty well keeping our grocery budget down, considering I have teenage boys in the house, I decided to join the challenge. So, for the next 4 weeks, I will be posting my progress, beginning with this week. I shared my Menu for July with you last week, I will use that as a guideline, but will change it slightly, as I’m going to try to make most of our meals with groceries that I purchase at Aldi’s. I already do most of my shopping there, but will be sharing the meals and the budget for them. Amy over at MomAdvice is a great resource for recipes with groceries from Aldi’s.

I usually re-cap last week’s meals and spending. But to be quite honest, I didn’t shop last week, and I really didn’t cook much. Our middle son was in the Babe Ruth Baseball Tournament which was 1 1/2 hours away, they played 4 games on 4 seperate days last week, which didn’t allow for much cooking. They won the District Tournament, going undefeated, and will travel to the State Tournament beginning Tuesday, I’m hoping with the exception of that day, I should be able to put dinner on the table.

Hope you enjoy the Ham & Potato Pockets! Thanks for following us.
