Kibbles ‘n Bits Bistro Dog Food #ILoveMyDog

Do you have a dog? Our dog, Rocky is about 13 years old and the best dog we could ever have!

Rocky loves most any food we buy him. But we like to feed him nutritious food. Recently we were asked by Collective Bias to try Kibbles ‘n Bits Bistro Dog Food.

We found some at Walmart, and it was only $11.48 for a 16 pound bag…AND it had a $2 coupon on it. You can find Kibbles ‘n Bits on Facebook, where they often offer coupons and other promotions.

Rocky loved the food…and I loved that it was nutritious too!

You can see our Whrrl including our shopping trip to Walmart for the Kibbles ’n Bits Bistro Dog Food.

I’ll admit it, I’m somewhat of a dog food snob. I’ve done a lot of research on it for my guide dogs, especially since my last few have been raised on raw. But I think calling a food nutritious without stating how is very misleading. No offense to you specifically, Liz.

I’ve never been a big fan of supermarket dog foods, they tend to be made with a lot of fillers: corn, soy, wheat, etc. All of which are either difficult for a dog to digest or a common allergen. I tried to find the ingredients list online for this particular brand of K&B but it doesn’t seem to be listed on their website yet. Though, I suspect it’s similar enough to their other lines that my statement still rings true.

Certainly not everyone has the ability or inclination to feed their dog raw or a super premium dog food, but I just really loathe he type of advertising that misleads a buyer.

  2. Whenever I see this brand my mind automatically plays the old commercial “Kibbles ‘n Bits, Kibbles ‘n Bits, Got to get me some Kibbles ‘n Bits” LOL Isn’t it funny how these silly tunes remain with you through the years. Since I don’t watch TV anymore I am not sure if they still use this little jingle or not ;) I have small Yorkies so I need tiny bites for them. Do you know if this is tiny enough for them? My little female also has a weight problem so I need to keep her on a diet. Now the Golden Retreiver is another story and will eat anything. I’m gonna pop over to the FB page to see if their is a coupon. Love it when they have coupons on Dog Food.
    Rocky looks adorable.

    Hi Liz,
I have to agree with Cyndy Otty. I feed my adorable dogs (Dakota and Zoey) Eagle Pack dry dog food, I purchase it from the local independent pet store. I mean no offense to you, I am just really passionate about my dogs.

We used to be super dog food snobs, but we came to realize:
    1. Due to cost, either the dog would have to go or the dog food.
    2. Growing up, our dogs ate dog chow and leftovers and lived outdoors and to an old age.

I am glad to know Rocky loved it.

I bought a bag of bistro beef meal for my dog and she began vomitting about 3 hours later, coffee ground vomit which indicates blood in the stomache. I stopped giving her the dogfood and as she slowly became better and the vomiting became less and less over the next 3 days I slowly introduced small amounts of canned dogfood that I had on hand and she tolerated that well. I don’t like to say it was the dogfood however that seems to be the issue. Has anyone else had this issue?
