Ice Cream Sundae Night on Sunday Night

[ 8 ] July 12, 2009 | CupcakeLady

Last Sunday, after having a great frugal trip to the beach, we decided to have Ice Cream Sundaes. The boys had fun building their own sundaes and at a fraction of the cost of the Ice Cream Shoppe.

I bought Ice Cream at Walmart for $2.50 each, Neopolitan and Chocolate Chip, Reese’s Peanut Cups for $1.00 (enough for S’More’s also, I will share those later in the week), Whipped Topping $1.25 and Hot Fudge Topping $1.50. We had all the rest of the goodies at home.

This was a great finish to a really fun afternoon. And, I have to confess, I didn’t make dinner either. We did snack a little before our sundaes, but they were mostly our dinner. I know, what a bad Mom I am, Ice Cream for dinner! Oh well, it is summer…

We usually make coke floats and chocolate shakes. That sounds yummy and my kids love the blizzards from sonic — I never thought about buying the stuff and making it myself. Thanks for sharing this.
