One of the desserts that my son requested for his birthday was an Ice Cream Cake. He wanted me to make this one from Pampered Chef, which I didn’t have a problem making, but I didn’t have a Springform Pan (yep, Pampered Chef lover, queen of baking, no pan! hint, hint)

So, the Queen of Improvising that I am, I decided to make it in the Trifle Bowl that I do have, which happens to also be Pampered Chef, and I got it for free. Casey chose to use chocolate and cake batter ice creams, and cookie & cream candy bar.
I started with an Oreo crumb crust

Then layered the chocolate ice cream

I cut the ice cream with my crinkle cutter

Then I sprinkled on the chopped candy bar

Then I layer the cake batter ice cream. After each of the ice cream layers, I took the back of a large spoon and smoothed the ice cream out.

I covered it with foil and put it in the freezer. When I was ready to serve it, I topped it with whipped topping.
Then I drizzled it with hot fudge and sprinkled it with sprinkles.

I’ll have to say, it looks very impressive, and tastes yummy. However, it was not the easiest to serve. I wasn’t able to get the bottom crust out, so I just scooped it like ice cream. The friends that Casey had over for his party loved it and he thought it was the best thing ever. And that is all that matters. Next time, though, I will use a Springform pan.

That looks great! I will have to remember that, my daughter does not like cake, but does like ICE CREAM!
My son would love this recipe. I’ll have to bookmark this one.
This looks really yummy! I love ice cream.
That looks so good!
WOW! Thanks for this! I have always wondered how hard it would be to create one of these!
That looks really good. I do have a spring form pan, but they can be tricky sometimes, especially with ice cream. This looks so nice in the clear bowl, great job.

Great minds think alike
Who would have known we would both be posting about ice cream cakes today. That looks yummy!
That looks so good! Yes, a springform pan would be easier, huh? Where’d you buy the cake batter ice cream?
We found the cake batter ice cream at Walmart. They also have a Birthday Bash Ice Cream at Kroger, but we happened to be at Walmart. Thanks for visiting! ~Liz
