Happy Fourth of July America!

Our hometown has a huge, 120 unit parade. Our local Jaycees put the parade together. The 4th of July has always been special to me, even as a young girl, we would always go to the parade.
And as a young adult, I was part of the Jaycees and helped with the celebration. This is where I met my husband, Doug. We were both involved with the Jaycees that year, 1988, I was General Chairman of the Celebration and he was Chairman of the Beer Barn (lol, ya). We started dating, and were married 5 months later. Here are some photos of the parades in earlier years. The first photo is me riding in the parade when I was the Chairman.

Oh I miss 4th of July parades! I’m from Hobart IN and they always had a great one too. Now I live Tulsa OK and they don’t have one
