Happy Fourth of July America!

flag

Our hometown has a huge, 120 unit parade.  Our local Jaycees put the parade together. The 4th of July has always been special to me, even as a young girl, we would always go to the parade.

And as a young adult, I was part of the Jaycees and helped with the celebration. This is where I met my husband, Doug. We were both involved with the Jaycees that year, 1988, I was General Chairman of the Celebration and he was Chairman of the Beer Barn (lol, ya). We started dating, and were married 5 months later. Here are some photos of the parades in earlier years. The first photo is me riding in the parade when I was the Chairman.

I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday!
