As part of the Walmart Moms program, from time to time, I get to share with my readers Walmart news. On Friday, I shared how Walmart matches competitors sale prices to save you even more money.
I am also very excited to share with you that they are bringing back over 8,500 of your favorite products. And today, I found out that fabric is on the list!!! Yay! I’m so excited to see the fabric department coming back.
They are also reinforcing their committment to Every Day Low Prices.
“Walmart’s reputation was founded on the principle of providing low prices day-in and day-out on the broadest assortment of merchandise,” said Duncan Mac Naughton, chief merchandising officer, Walmart U.S. “Our company is determined to create the best one-stop shopping experience and low prices on the right products backed by a clear, consistent ad match policy.”
Walmart has also launched a new advertising campaign. Have you seen some of the new commercials? Especially the cute Easter ones?

Fabric returning – YEA!!!! I miss my Walmart fabric department.
I have called and emailed Wally world thanking them for keeping our fabric department.. I am THRILLED to hear it’s coming back to all or most of the stores! The Clerks said if enough people commented on it, it would save the department! I even got a personal telephone call from a store manager thanking me for my letter to them!! YIPEE! You cannot beat there prices.. smart move Walmart!! thanks for letting us know this good news!!!
I am happy that fabric is returning but would be happier if they brought back the policy that if more than 3 people were on a line they would open a new line. The lines are crazy. There are too few sales people on the floor to help and they are often nasty or unknowledgeable when you find someone. The aisles are often filled with stock in boxes making it hard to bring a cart down. This makes it very hard on moms with kids in the cart to shop.
Yea I’m soo excited!! Nore if they brought back lay a way! That would be AWESOME!
Yea for bringing back the fabric dept. I have missed it so much and we don’t have any fabric stores closer than 60 miles from us since wal Mart took their fabric dept out of their stores.
I hope this is not just a rumor. I no longer enter WalMart since fabric was eliminated. I’ve located several other stores as favorites.
I would return when fabric department reinstated.
