Even though my boys are teens and older now, we still color Easter eggs. Yes, the very same way we have been doing it since they were babies. Because, well it’s tradition and we love it. These Easter Bunny Snacks would be perfect to make during your Easter egg coloring time, to take for treats to a Classroom Party, or even add to your Easter brunch.

Similar to the Easter Bunny Cupcakes, these snacks are fun to make and fun to eat!

Easter Bunny Snacks

Beginning with a Snack Pack pudding, these Easter bunnies have coconut, ears made with white chocolate and nonpariels, licorice for the whiskers, mini brown M&M’s for the eyes, a nose made with a jumbo heart sprinkle and a mouth made with frosting.

There are lots of options with these adorable Easter bunny snacks. If you are hosting a party or family gathering, lay all the ingredients on a big tray and let the kids decorate their own. Or put them together ahead of time to deliver them to kids at the school or church. Not a fan of coconut? Use white frosting instead.

Easter Bunny Snacks Ingredients

  • Snack Packs Pudding – I used the new super size with the new EZ open lid, found at Walmart in the snack aisle near the crackers and cookies
  • Coconut
  • White Chocolate – I use Almond Bark found in the baking aisle
  • Pink sprinkles or nonpareils
  • Mini M&M’s candy
  • Pink Heart Sprinkles – I was glad I organized my sprinkle cupboard so I could find these quickly.
  • Licorice – to get pink and dark pink, you will need to buy Mixed Berry Pull and Peel Twizzlers
  • Frosting – tinted with pink coloring

Tools

  • Cookie Sheet lined with Parchment Paper or Wax Paper
  • Plastic Squeeze Bottle
  • Frosting Decorator Bag
  • Decorator Tip #4 – small round

The only step that needs to be done ahead of time is making the ears. I like to use white Almond Bark, it melts better and is really easy to work with. You can find it in the baking aisle or on Walmart.com.

The other part of making the ears is to use a plastic squeeze bottle, it will make it go much quicker and easier. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or wax paper, melt the Almond Bark, pour it into the bottle. Be sure to have the pink nonpareils or sprinkles ready because it will go really fast. Then squeeze a small portion of chocolate onto the paper creating a tear drop shape, immediately add the sprinkles. Place in the refrigerator for about 5 minutes until they are firm. You can also make the ears up to a week ahead, just keep them in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

How to decorator Easter Bunny Snacks

  1. Tint frosting with pink coloring and fill decorator bag fitted with a small round tip
  2. Remove lid from Snack Pack and add flaked coconut
  3. Add ears
  4. Cut licorice into short pieces and add
  5. Add heart sprinkle – Tip: add a very small dab of frosting to the heart then add it so it stays in place better. If the kids are decorating, you can certainly skip this step.
  6. Pipe on the mouth with frosting
  7. Add the candy for eyes
