Having a beautiful home is something I am passionate about, but staying on a budget and keeping it simple can often times be a challenge. There are a few television shows that I watch to gain inspiration from, and Home Made Simple is one that I enjoy.
During a recent episode of Home Made Simple, a well deserving military Mom received the ultimate upgrade to her home. The program airs on the OWN network on Saturday mornings on 9 a.m. eastern time and is hosted by Soleil Moon Frye and her family of experts.
Not only does the show offer instruction for really cool projects, but I love the concept they have of giving back. Many of the episodes are giving home makeovers to deserving people.
This Saxophone Planter is so easy, but makes such a neat focal point of the wall. Wouldn’t those be fun to hang in a music studio? I think the ideas are endless.
The Military Mom also received a beautiful fireplace makeover. Transform your own fireplace with the instructions from Home Made Simple.
And the DIY Backlit Photowall is such a great idea for any room in your home. Learn how to create your own!
There are also several other projects that I love and can’t wait to see the Home Made Simple team create. The whole concept of reusing items is such a great thing. As our landfills grow more full and the cost of everything from food to gas to decor for our homes continues on the rise, it’s even more important now to use those items we already have.
Don’t throw that old dresser in the trash, refurbish it to match your updated home. Make your own beach inspired dresser.
Home Made Simple is my new Saturday morning routine and design destination! Be sure to tune in on Saturday mornings at 9am/8c, only on OWN.
