Breast Cancer Awareness Cupcakes

To recoginize Breast Cancer Awareness, I wanted to bake some special cupcakes for Cupcake Tuesday.

I baked two different cupcakes. For the first one, I started with a strawberry cake mix.

And filled them with strawberry jam mixed with a little strawberry syrup. You can read all about an easy way to fill cupcakes here.

For the second cupcake, I started with these delicious white cupcakes from MomAdvice. And filled them using the same method as above, but with this great Strawberry Creme Pudding that Jello made to help raise money and awareness for the Susan G. Komen program.

I frosted the white cupcakes with Buttercream frosting flavored with a little strawberry syrup.

The strawberry cupcakes were really sweet with the jam filling, so I decided to frost them with Whipped Topping.

I decorated them with fresh strawberries, pink wafer cookies, pink sanding sugar and I also tinted the frosting a little darker pink and using my decorator tip, piped on the Breast Cancer symbol.

For Mother’s Day, my family took me to a Silverhawks Minor League Baseball Game. They were giving away these visors for Breast Cancer Awareness.

These cupcakes could easily be used for a little girls birthday party or special get together.
