Banana Cream Horns

Jump to recipe!

Mother’s Day is this Sunday! Are you ready for some delicious Mother’s Day Desserts? I hope so! I’m kicking off a whole week of yummy, ooey-gooey, can’t live without desserts with these Banana Cream Horns.

You all know I love impressive but easy, right? These little beauties took about 15 minutes to whip up! The filling is Banana Cream Pudding with fresh bananas chopped up and mixed in, and the horns are made with Puff Pastry.

Bananas are one of those perfect fruits! They can be added to a shake or smoothie, baked in a cupcake, sliced on cereal, dipped in chocolate and even eaten on the go! We usually get a couple bunches each week, and they are gone so fast, there isn’t any left to make bread.

Walmart has them right now for only 38 cents per pound…gotta love that!

I used a new technique with these Banana Cream Horns, using Puff Pastry and a horn mold.

You can find Puff Pastry in the freezer section or certainly make your own. I just bought some already made.

  1. Thaw the Puff Pastry, but not totally, it’s easier to work with when it’s cold. Lay it out on the counter, using a pizza cutter, cut 1 1/2 inch wide strips. Then starting at the narrow tip, seal the Puff Pastry around the tip.
  2. Begin wrapping the strip around the horn
  3. Overlapping slightly
  4. Continue wrapping until you get to the top, seal the edge together and place seam side down on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
