  1. Hi,

I don’t have apple sauce but I really want to make them.

What can I add instead or can I just omit it?? Maybe I could add some milk??

    1. Hi Eva, if you don’t have applesauce, you can make applesauce by cooking down apples. There really isn’t a substitute because of the flavor and moistness the applesauce gives these cupcakes.
You could certainly omit, but I’m not sure how they would turn out as I have never tried it that way.

These look yummy! Waiting for the next potluck to make them so I won’t end up eating them all myself! May I ask where you bought those beautiful cupcake liners? The right liners add so much, don’t they?

    1. Hi Mary, so glad you like the cupcakes! I believe the liners are from Wilton and I found them at Walmart. But I’m not totally certain.
      Happy Baking!

  3. I’ve made these several times now and they’re always a hit!! I give them 5 stars (:

  4. i was wondering with this recipe if i can omit the nuts?

    1. Hi Tiffany, sure omitting the nuts is fine.

      1. when i leave out the nuts do i have to take away from the butter or leave it the way it is (I’m wanting to have that crumble for the top)?

        1. Oh yes, if you are using it without the nuts for the topping, don’t put as much butter in.

  5. These look delicious. I was wondering if I should skip the cinnamon if I have cinnamon applesauce.

    1. Hi Janet, sure that would be perfectly fine.
      Happy Baking!
