As you may or may not know, my husband is a landscaper. He is lucky enough to have a year round job, and he has a few side jobs that he does. Since we are heading quickly into winter, when he won’t have the extra side jobs, I thought it would be good to start buying a little extra each week for the winter.

I’m home in Louisiana for the time, deals have been few and far between in our little town, but I am trying to get my stockpile organized so I can see what I need to be on the look-out for, and what I already have.
Like your new design!
@Charlene,

We don’t have Aldi’s here, but twice a year we have a case-lot sale at one store, and their prices are similar to Aldi’s regular prices. It’s nice that you can easily do a little extra each week from Aldi’s. On the two months where we have the case-lot sale, I spend most of the month’s food budget to stock up.
Good luck stocking up for winter!
I loved that you shared your Aldi’s savings. I would like to let you know that I now make my own homemade laundry soap that is awesome and only cost me about $2.00 for 5 gallons of great soap. I can’t beat that price and with my husband’s allergies of laundry scents, it really works for us. I am all about saving money and planning ahead. I also raised 4 boys so understand about feeding eating machines.
