Creating a beautiful look can sometimes be expensive. Maybelline recently launched their Affordable Runway Looks at Walmart. Charlotte Willer, Maybelline Global Makeup Artist put her latest inspiratoins to work when she developed 4 scene-stealing beauty looks for under $25.
Honestly, I’m not crazy about tons of make-up. Maybe because I really don’t have time to mess with it {and haven’t since I became a Mom} or the feeling I have with make-up caked on. But, I have been wanting to give the smokey eye a try. So when I had the opportunity to review the new Maybelline products, I thought it would be fun.
There are 4 new distinct looks…
- Golden Midnight; for this mysterious look, the focus is on the eyes keeping the rest of the face monochromatic
- Silver Diva; for this elegant sensual look, the eyes are played up, focusing on lining the lower lash line
- Ruby-Kissed Emerald; for this Hollywood glam look, the colors are played up on both lips and eyes
- Rosy Dew; this look is natural that anyone can wear
I had the opportunity to try the Rosy Dew. While I’m not exactly the greatest at applying make-up, I thought it turned out well. It was super easy to get the look I wanted and the products felt fresh and not caked on.
Here is what I used…
- Expertwear Eyeshadow Quads – Sunlit Bronze…$4.97
- Volum’ Express The Falsies Black Drama Mascara…$4.97 on Rollback thru October
- Color Sensational Lipcolor – Pearly Pink…$5.50
- Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner Espresso…$7.94

I’d love a runway look BUT, age mkes me think the more natural look is the one I need to stick with. I’d hate to give hubby heart failure at too new a me.
Linda, I totally agree. My husband feels the same way. I do like the subtle make-up that I tried.
Thanks for stopping by!
